The Warehouse 1 Collection from Glen Moray is inspired by the Elgin-based producer’s Warehouse 1, which is known for ageing casks innovatively.
The new additions to the line celebrate wine and Sherry varieties from Europe.
Amarone Finish (55.4% ABV) has aromas of fig and cinnamon, followed by sweet brown sugar, red cherry, and green peppercorn flavours. There are only 1,194 bottles available, with a RRP of £79.95.
Amontillado Finish (57.5% ABV) has a nose of caramel, chocolate, leather, and tobacco. The palate includes notes of chocolate and hazelnut. There are 1,248 bottles available, with a RRP of £74.95.
Lastly, Oloroso Fully Matured has been aged for eight years in oloroso Sherry casks, producing aromas of hedgerow fruits, rich cacao, and toasted chestnut.
On the palate there are sweet liquorice, rich autumn leaves, and tannin flavours. This single malt has an ABV of 60%, with 1,950 bottles available, at a price of £76.95.
