Donate Your Time For a Day For Free Bottle Of Glengoyne Whisky

Glengoyne Highland Single Malt is offering whisky enthusiasts the chance to get a bottle for free in exchange for volunteering with the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) for a day.

Participants will be partaking in wetland-sustaining activity at one of WWT’s UK sites, and as a thank you, they will get a bottle of Glengoyne’s new 15 Year Old Single Malt and an invitation to tour the distillery.

Katy Muggeridge, Brand Director at Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “The environment is at the heart of everything we do, and our eleven-year partnership with WWT is testament to this. In launching the 15 Year Old, we wanted to give back to the beautiful ecosystem that allows us to produce our Single Malt. So, by donating just one day of your time to WWT, whisky fans will be able to help protect carbon-capturing wetlands, aid the conservation of migratory Geese, and take home a bottle of this excellent new dram!

WWT’s “Blue Recovery” plan to restore and create 100,000 hectares of healthy wetlands across the UK is an important step to protect biodiversity and conserve clean water sources.

Glengoyne Distillery is leading the way in Scotland, having adopted a wetlands facility for 100% of its liquid waste back in 2011. This has reduced the distillery’s waste by 25%, creating a home for 14,500 plants and attracting abundant wildlife to the area.

Georgie Cox, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the WWT, said: “Glengoyne constantly show such vocal support for the importance of wetlands, and, thanks to this support, we’ve been able to show how much these green spaces can do for people and the planet in our fight against climate change. We’re proud to call them our partners and are excited to turn whisky enthusiasts into wetland enthusiasts as well!
