Sandford Orchards Launches Devon Rosé Cider

Sandford Orchards is delighted to present Devon Rosé Cider (ABV 4%), a medium sweet rosé cider made from English apples and the skins of Pinot Noir red wine grapes. This elegantly clean and fresh cider has a delightful depth of flavour, and its beautiful blush hue makes it the perfect accompaniment to a goat cheese tart or Devon high tea.

Barny Butterfield, Chief Cidermaker at Sandford Orchards comments: “As cider evangelists, we love nothing more than creating a new cider guaranteed to entice more people to become fans of this fabulous apple nectar. We’re confident that Devon Rosé Cider is one of those drinks. Lovingly produced here in Devon, from locally grown apples, we’ve fermented the cider with the skins of Pinot Noir grapes to give it a delicate pink hue and a fruity kick.

Established in 2002, the family-run Sandford Orchards of Crediton, Mid Devon is based in the UK’s oldest working cider mill. This area of Britain is renowned for being one of the most fertile parishes, with lush pastures and an abundance of apple orchards. Crediton benefits from the right amount of rain and sufficient warmth in summer due to its location sheltered by the moors. Sandford Orchards utilises a natural and low-impact approach to cider making, with a mix of both traditional and modern techniques. Their award-winning selection of ciders includes session, traditional, fine, and fruit varieties.
